This is how I can be assaulted. As I said, what may a lot of our fathers are wanting you to know as well, and to see the righteous work, and to hear the voiceover as well, and to work on the voiceover as well, and to work on what you're saying. I Hey guys, welcome back. Good morning.

This is part two of the gift versus the anointing or not really versus, but the difference in those. So we're going to go and pick up probably dropped off. If you didn't see part one, I recommend you go back and check that out. It's powerful.

Without further ado, let's jump right in. So the third part of what I want to talk to you guys about is the anointing is for service and it's not a platform or stage so many times we can just really get that confused and the gift would want to you know match up with that platform or stage the anointing of the holy spirit does things that no man can do it's the spirit of god working now first samuel chapter 16 verse 13 says we see samuel there okay let's start with this we see samuel there and samuel anoints David in front of his brothers okay they're in the middle of nowhere it's not some fancy you know service they're in the middle of nowhere and it's years before he will ever sit on an actual throne okay The anointing, catch this, the anointing didn't come with a platform. The anointing does not come with a platform, amen? It came with an assignment.

When you have an anointing from God, you have an assignment from God. Hallelujah. And David spent over a decade in caves, battlefields, before the position. caught up to the anointing.

Hallelujah. So the anointing precedes the promotion. Amen. We need to understand that.

The anointing precedes… The promotion if you try to skip straight to the platform without carrying the assignment first You'll perform in a position you were never actually equipped for. And honestly, we're seeing it all over the place today. Exodus chapter 30 verses 30 through 33 really highlights this.

You know, the anointing was Holy. Amen. The anointing oil, rather, was holy. And God says explicitly, it's not to be poured on man's flesh.

for common use. The anointing is not for common things. Amen. Not to be replicated.

So whoever compounds anything like it or puts it on someone outside the priesthood watch this shall be cut off from his people that's pretty serious language that's how seriously in fact that god guarded what the anointing was for and really is for Okay, praise God. It wasn't, the anointing, the anointing is not for decoration. It's not to look good. It's for consecration, consecration for service, and he didn't let people just casually wear the anointing for a place of status.

Now, let's contrast that real quick. I'll contrast that with 1 Peter 5, verses 2 and 3. When you look at 1 Peter 5, 2 and 3, Shepard… the flock that's that's the statement shepherd the flock not for filthy lucre amen neither as being lords over God's heritage, capital G.

Amen, the God, God's heritage. Gifting, gifting loves an audience. Those are gifted, the gifts we have. It tends to love an audience, okay?

The anointing, however, kneels down and washes. feet. John chapter 13 is a good example of that. The towel knot.

The throne is the true anointed posture, the towel, washing the feet. not the throne all right move on to our next point we'll call this point four and again points one and two are in the first video if you've not seen that highly recommend you check that out So point four, you can lose the anointing, however, you can keep the gift. The gifts are given without repentance. Amen, but the anointing is by way of the Holy Spirit.

So this is the warning shot. This is the warning shot. Judges 16 really. speaks to it.

You know, Samson, right? The Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of the Lord had come upon Samson again and again. Praise Jesus. and powering his feats over strength that were never natural to him.

Then you see Delilah. Part of that picture. Then the haircut from Delilah. Judges 16 verse 20.

He wist not that the Lord was departed from him. Can you imagine being in that position? Knowing the Lord had departed from you, the Holy Spirit. that's got to be the worst feeling in the world guys really take that in take that in he wished not that the Lord was departed from him.

He got up to do what he… always had done same same natural body same reputation amongst people the same Wagger as they call it today, but he assumed the strength was still there because honestly, it had always been. It had always been, that strength had always been there from the Lord. This day, it wasn't.

He found out in front of his enemies, the strength was gone. And honestly, that's the danger. That's the danger. That's the danger for anyone who's been used to.

to God showing up long enough to get comfortable and you can keep doing the motions of ministry you know the vocabulary, the platform, the meetings, etc. Having that confidence and not notice that the fire has departed, it's it's no longer there the fire of the spirit of god the listen the gift doesn't set off an alarm Only sensitivity to the presence of the Holy Spirit will set that off. We've got to be sensitive. If we're not sensitive, you won't even realize or notice.

Now, Ezekiel chapter 10 is the sobering picture. it's the sobering picture of this on a i guess we'll just call it a national level you know the glory of the lord was slow slowly departing from the temple stage by stage and catch this nobody stopped the services to even notice nobody stopped it nobody took notice the sacrifices kept happening yes today we don't do sacrifices amen but i'm saying when we look at this picture of things they just kept going on and on and on as usual. There's religion and there's relationship. I want you to contrast those two.

We need to be in relationship. The sacrifices, they kept happening. their rituals, they kept doing them what am I saying I'm saying the form the form of godliness form stayed exactly, excuse me, stayed exactly the same. The form stayed exactly.

The same while the substance of the Holy Spirit the anointing walked right out the door So guys Kind of bring in this airplane to land bring in the closing if if the gifting is the nature and the anointing honestly is the grace You didn't even warn, you didn't even, I'm sorry, you didn't even earn what's on your life. And you can't perform. your way back into it either. It's not about that.

It's not about earning or performing. It's not about trying harder. I've done these things. They don't work.

It's not about this. It's about turning your face back to the Lord, back to the Holy Spirit, and asking Him. to breathe on what he already has put in you you know you look at the book of Saul You see in Psalm 133 verse 2, the oil ran down until it saturated everything, saturated. when it saturates it gets deep in the oil is the spirit amen the oil ran down until it saturated everything that's not a that's not a trickle that's what Holy Spirit wants to do again guys I invite to invite the holy spirit back to do it again amen listen the gifts The gifts are given without repentance.

The gifts are from God. But what I'm saying is, without the anointing, we really have nothing. Without the anointing, what are the gifts without the anointing? you need to strive and push forward and you're in the gifts what is the influence that's really influencing you well it's probably something dark that's trying to look like light we need the anointing of the precious holy spirit amen i pray this blessed you this morning i love you all so much i invite you to visit me over at richardjeremiah .me on my website also So we have a community, thehigherplace .place.
