And guys, oh, hold on, here we go. okay in jesus name there we go so and the lord's really been speaking to me um on the These topics, okay, and I want to share a little bit with you right now because we really need to be aware of what we're doing. Amen. We need to be aware of.

Amen? all right can you guys hear me okay yes sir all right praise god so uh i've really been digging in today and yesterday in the second samuel chapter 11, and about halfway through chapter 12. And I'll chop it down some. But I'm going to share with you guys a little bit on that tonight because the reality is, you know, a lot of times we…

try to skate through a lot of the mess that we create and act like it was never created you know and we need to be honest and real we need to take this example here uh from Beth Sheba and and you David's great sin you know David was God's favorite yet here he was a big old manipulator he was maneuvering he was doing a lot of things that weren't cool sent a man to die it's actually many men died because of it But when we start in the front end here, you know, David, we see here in David, then it happened in the spring at the time when the kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him. him so he sent them all out right they're all heading out to battle it's springtime and um you know they're going to fight they destroyed the ammonites and besiege rabah so David remained where? In Jerusalem. All the men are out.

A lot of his accountability and the people that surround him, they're all out. They're at the battle. Oh my God. All right, give me a second here.

We're good? Okay. Thank you, Jesus. So with that said, one evening, David got up from his couch and he was walking on the flat roof at the king's palace.

What had happened? He saw a woman. And what did he see a woman doing? Bathing.

Okay. Let's just skip on through this. You already know what happens. He sends for her.

She comes to the house. house a married woman he bangs her and realizes a little later that she's pregnant oh boy how are we gonna cover this one up hmm hmm there's no males in here are there all right so the point i'm getting to is this you know david sent a messenger he took her in verse uh Four, had his way with her. He was the king. He should have used better, should have better motives.

Verse five, she conceived, she was pregnant. Verse 7, Uriah came to him. David asked him how Joab was and how the people were doing and how the war was progressing. Can anyone say, let's set this up and try not to do it?

to be discovered. Can anyone say let's try to maneuver and manipulate our way through this? Hmm. Hmm.

Okay. so here we got in verse 9 Uriah slept at the entrance he sends for him they bring him back Uriah is such a dedicated man to the king he sleeps at the entrance outside He's out there sleeping at the entrance when David's manipulative heart was go to your house and have sex with your wife. Go into her so I can try to lay this off on you like she was impregnated by you. Oh, but David.

David, don't you think for a second God's going to let you just escape like that? Don't you think for a second? Your manipulation's about to be dealt with in Jesus' name. You got it, Brother Jerry.

I see that smile. We all understand, gentlemen, but this is important that we get this. So Uriah said to David, Actually, you go back halfway through verse 10. Have you not just come from a long journey?

did you not go to your house? All of a sudden I care so much for you. Go to your house. Hmm.

You're such a dedicated man. You're going to sit out here and lay out here on the ground before the palace. and because all the other people are at war. Hmm, I gotta move the ante up, right?

He's got to move the ante up. So here we go. We jump into verse 11. And what happens here?

What happens? The ark and Israel, Judah, are staying in huts temporarily, and my lord Joab and the servants of my lord are camping in the… open field. Should I go to my house to eat and drink and lie with my wife?

By your life and the life of your soul, I will not do this thing. I'm dedicated. I'm dedicated even though you screwed me over messed around and went into my wife I'm dedicated to you and he didn't know it at that point But that's dedication. We go down to verse 13.

David called him to dinner. That didn't work, so come on up here. Let's have dinner. Let's have some drinks.

called him up to dinner and he ate and drank with him so that he made uriah drunk couldn't get you go home to your wife non-drunk so i'll get you drunk and surely you'll go home and do something then Guess what? Nope. It still did not go, he did still not go down to his house at the end of verse 12. Or 13, rather.

Verse 14, in the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it. to uriah watch this now everybody wake up watch this how far are we willing to go to cover our butt how far are we willing to go to cover our sin did that look intense enough in the morning david wrote a letter to joab and senate In other words, put him before the firing squad, please. We want to make sure he disappears. The very man who was dedicated to the king slept out there, didn't go home to his wife or anything else.

But I screwed up and I'm willing to take your life to cover it up. keep mine this is god's favorite still let's walk this out leave him on the front line of the heaviest fighting and leave him so that he may be He struck down and die. It is written, struck down and die. All right, so then we jump into verse 16.

So it happened, that is… Joab was besieging the city. He assigned Uriah to the place where he knew the enemy's valiant men were positioned. the best of the best he sent him to that very point where the best of the best where he had no chance of survival verse 17 and the men of the city came out and fought against Joab and some of the people among the servants of David David fell.

Uriah the Hittite also died. How interesting is that? The guy that I banged his wife and got her pregnant… and sent back to war is now dead so I don't have to worry about that hmm we still have a pregnant woman though we'll get to that in just a minute then joe absent word and informed david of all the events of the war 19 and he commanded the messenger watch this he commanded the messenger when you have finished all the events of the war to the king, that's David, verse 20, then if the king becomes angry and he says to you, why did you go so near to the city to fight?

What do we see here? You normally would not do that. It's asinine. Did you not know they would shoot arrows from the wall?

Did you not know you had no advantage at all, no protection? Of course, king, you're the one who set him up. You're the one who sent him. Verse 21, who killed…

uh amalek the son of uh gideon was it not a woman who threw an upper millstone on him from the wall so that he died why did you go so near the wall then you shall say watch this this is the messenger right he's being instructed on what he's going to say to the king then you shall say your servant Uriah the Hittite is also dead Hmm, 22, so the messenger left, all right, comes, he tells David everything, then we jump down to, um, 24, basically, some of the king's servants are dead, he tells him, and your servant Uriah and the Hittite is also dead. How is David going to respond, everybody? Let's take a quick second. he would probably be really irritated.

But watch this. Oh, Lord Jesus. Verse 25, Then David said to the messenger, Tell Joab this, do not let this thing disturb you. Do not let this thing disturb you.

For the sword devours one. One side as well as another. We're talking about Uriah here and all the other men that were lost. Yeah, I'm willing to kill him and the others as well.

So it can cover my… Situation up so now the people that would be involved are dead, so that's not an issue anymore All right go deeper strengthen your battle against the city and overthrow it and so encourage joab so now he's saying go kill them all so you'll be encouraged joab can anyone say Manipulation at its finest. Right? Yet he was God's favorite.

Continuing. Verse 26. Sheba, what? Uriah's, the dead Uriah's wife, Bathsheba, heard that her husband Uriah was dead.

She mourned for her husband. So there's a season there. There's a bit a little bit of time. She mourned for her husband.

Verse 27. And when the time of mourning was past, David sent word and had her brought to his house there was a season go born for your husband for a little season then i'm going to send word bring you here and then basically i'm going to marry you up and all this stuff's going to be resolved Are we tracking together? Are we catching this? All right.

David sent word. Had her brought up. had her brought up to the house and she began his she became rather his wife and bore him a son so there it is it's uh the the the problems are eliminated the political situation is dealt with we think folks you can manipulate maneuver and do everything you want in front of man but don't you think for a minute you can get by god and i'm about to prove it to you The troublemaker shows up. Who?

The prophet. People don't like prophets because they bring truth. They can't be bought off. First, chapter 12.

Nathan comes and he rebukes David. And the Lord sent Nathan, the prophet, to David. He came and he said to him, There were two men in the city, one rich and the other poor. Watch this now.

He's given him… An example here and David's heart fills for the guy Watch this the rich man had a very large number of flocks and herds, but the poor man had nothing But one little ewe lamb, which he had purchased and nourished, and he grew it up together with him and his children. It ate his food, drank from his cup. It laid in his arms.

It was a part of him. And was like a daughter, the Bible says to him. This ewe lamb was like a child to him. what we're seeing folks begin to play out is how God is viewing the situation okay God is bringing it to the prophet and beginning to show his heart on the matter.

Verse 4, Now traveler, visitor, came to the rich man, and to avoid taking one from his own flock or herd, to prepare a mill for the traveler who had come to him. He took the poor man's ewe lamb. You see the thing here? Rich man had all this stuff.

Everything in the kingdom. Like what? King David. But what happened?

He came and took the ewe lamb which was like a daughter to cook it up for dinner because he didn't want to take one of his own. and he prepared it for the guest. Now when we look here, family, in verse 5, David's anger burned intensely. Hello?

David's anger burned intensely. Watch God flip this around real quick, would you? David's anger burned intensely against the man and said to Nathan, Nathan's the prophet here, delivering the word from the Lord. As the Lord lives, the man who has done this deserves to be saved.

to die let's pause who said that david said that not realizing he's speaking out to his own situation He says, this man, what this man has done, he deserves to die. Verse 6, he shall make restitution for the ewe lamb four times as much. He's speaking over his own. as the lamb was worth because he did this thing and had no compassion.

He did this thing and had no compassion. He took the man's wife, God's daughter, went into her, got her pregnant, took the dedicated Uriah, tried to manipulate him several times, couldn't because he was. so dedicated to the king so he sends him off with the intent to kill the man to eliminate the problem along with the other poor souls that went with him that just happened to be a part of that unit. that.

For those of you that have been in the military and actually been in active war, imagine that. Let that sink into your heart real quick. I'm just part of. the unit but because this guy over here wife got taken and we all have to be eliminated now we're gonna really see the hand of God you guys we're gonna see balance out of God in this in just a second.

Verse 7, Then Nathan said to David, You are the man. David, look in the mirror, bro. King David, I'm saying. Look in the mirror.

You are the man. God's talking to you, buddy Then he goes on it says that's it bro real talk Real talk, brother. Then he says, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, I anointed you as king over Israel. Look at that.

Is that not massive? That's massive. I anointed you. I gave you the power and authority over Israel as the king.

I spared you from the hand of Saul. David, all these things I've done for you. verse 8 i also gave your master's house also gave you rather your master's house and put your master's wives into your case and under your protection and I gave you the house the royal dynasty of Israel and Judah and it had been too little folks he gave him More than we'll ever see in our own lives. Power, objects, things, wives, etc.

Now in the New Testament, we have one wife and one wife only. you're smart you'll just be a prophet and anyway I would have given you much more he says I would have given you much more right? But no, you ran off, jumped into Uriah's wife, couldn't get rid of it, couldn't get him to go cover the situation up, you narcissist. Then you sent him to war to kill him.

Verse 9. Why have you despised the word of the Lord by doing evil in his sight? let that just stop you in your tracks for a quick moment let that cause you to stop and observe why have you despised the word of the Lord by doing evil in his sight Folks, I understand there's grace and thank God for that. But we need to grab the totality of this story.

This is very important for each of us. We've got to stop playing loose. He goes on and says, You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife. You have killed him with the sword.

sword of the ammonites you sent him to the enemy with the intent to kill him that's what that just said more on that leviticus chapter 20 if y 'all want to dig into that later in chapter 24. Anyway, verse 10 here, 2 Samuel 12 10. Now therefore the sword, watch this, watch this, watch this. Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me.

The me is capital, that's God. And have taken the wife of Uriah, the Hittite. to be your wife. Can anyone say the Lord is not pleased?

In fact, I believe there's some anger of the Lord here. Amen. Then we jump into verse 11. Thus says the Lord.

Watch out. Watch out. Thus says who? The Lord.

Behold, I will stir up evil. evil against you hello God said I will stir up evil against you who his beloved David y'all grabbing this I will stir up evil against you from your own household. And I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your companion. In other words, I'm about to really make you suffer.

You're going to wish you'd never done that, and you'll never forget doing it. And he will lie with your wives in broad daylight. In other words, right in front of your face, you sneaky. little guy going and sneaking around with the man's wife at war.

I'm going to go ahead and take those things that are yours and I'm going to open it up to where you can do nothing about it and you're going to see it all. verse 12 indeed you did it secretly hello it wasn't a mistake let's let's set some some some definers real quick it wasn't a mistake he did it intentionally Did it secretly. It's like that sneaky link. This is leading to a, we're just going to see, we're going to see God right here.

But I will. will do this thing before all Israel. In other words, it's not going to be hidden. And in broad daylight.

Verse 13, David said to Nathan, this is King David now, he's talking to who? Nathan is the prophet. But are we walking together here? All right.

They're having a convo, and God's speaking through Nathan. God's bringing it hard and heavy through Nathan to him. Can you imagine that? It's like going to talk.

to the president or some high high person in the land you have no fear because god is the one speaking through you david said to nathan i have sinned against the lord now watch this there's i believe there's some repentance right here, okay? But watch what happens right here. God's angry. He's spoken through the prophet.

Verse 13. David says to Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. Okay. We have some repentance taking place right here.

This is a good thing. Amen. We need to be repentant, family. And Nathan said to David, the prophet is speaking back to King David, the Lord also has allowed your sin to pass.

Folks, we need to be repentant. repentant quickly we need to watch what we're doing amen we need not to walk in the spirit of stupid we need not to go and mess around with other people's wives or have sneaky links or get on the freaking all this and all that i'm not Listen, I'm talking to every single one of us right now. This isn't a finger toward anyone. I'm saying let us wake up.

David, I need some lights on. I need to see your face for the 957th time, please. uh is that a beer never mind i'll leave that one for the other night um and for the audience that was That was purely a joke. David doesn't drink anymore.

Everybody's probably thinking I'm talking about King David right now. All right, let's move on. Indeed, you did it secretly, but I will do this. thing before all Israel in a broad daylight.

David said to Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. That's repentance. Are we tracking together? The Lord comes back through the prophet Nathan.

The Lord has also allowed your sin to pass. Can anyone say deep sigh, deep breath, amen? But watch this. It says without further punishment.

And then it says, you shall not die. David was one of God's favorites. And yet, without that repentance, he would have died. Because it says right here, you shall not die.

Psalm 51, by the way. First four. 14 guys, nevertheless, because by this deed you have given a great opportunity to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme him, being God, the son. that is born to you shall certainly die.

Everything that all this went through, everything that took place, comes down to that child dying the child came in cursed. The child came in. He went into a married woman, killed the husband, then married her and tried to take the child. You cannot manipulate God.

you cannot manipulate God then it says Nathan went back home I'm not going to go into this but I will tell you when you jump into 2 Samuel 12 Basically, verses 15 through 23, there we see the loss of the child and a great grieving even deeper of David. folks none of us are perfect the grace of god is there through the lord jesus christ but i'm going to tell you something let us not play games amen let Let's not play games with the living God. Hallelujah. It's kind of interesting.

This Bible talks about problems, God. How rolling a stone, it'll come back on you? Yes, sir. Mom, what were you saying?

You know, then, uh, uh, Pastor Richard, uh, I heard, let's see, I read in a book before that, uh, that, that, uh, that, uh, David, um, let's see, that, uh, David, you see, he not only had, he not only had, it wasn't just sex with Bathsheba, but more likely he raped her yeah actually actually that's correct i wasn't trying to get super graphic but you're right yeah you're absolutely correct I wasn't trying to get super graphic, but you're 100% correct there. I want to make this clear. King David was one of God's favorites. His heart was sold out for him, but he was far.

From right and correct, as many of us are and have been. you know thank god for the grace of jesus but how many of us are living in that place and i'm going to be honest with you I'm not going to sit here and tell you I'm perfect and I never make mistakes. I am fought from time to time and I am facing the very place of learning to really say no at every turn. No, I'm not going to give in to this.

It's real easy. But you know something? It's our own fault. It's our own fault.

I'm going to say it again. It's our own fault. Oh, now, I don't like that. I'm going to leave the church.

I'm not going to tie. Well, run on down the street to where you need to go then. but the reality is this we need to be a people that are repentant that are surrendered to god we need to be a people that can look in the mirror not beat ourself up i'm not talking about condemnation here amen there's Therefore, now no condemnation, but we need to look dead in the mirror and realize, okay, I have got to strengthen myself in the Lord. David strengthened himself in the Lord.

to come amen we've got to come to the place to say no i refuse you know that that pop up on your screen on your phone learn to say no devil you're a liar flip off of that thing amen how much time have you spent in the word today did you start today in the word amen are we are we together amen Yes, sir. Amen. Because God's not playing games. and he kept putting it off and he wouldn't do it, and I read the word where it says, We're looking for an opportunity to kill him.

It's not happening. So finally, as one of the circumcised skin threw the skin at him and said, you're a bloody man. Lord Jesus scary. It's a ways to kill Moses.

Yeah yeah yeah you're right i mean and moses again was super close to god as well face to face if these folks david mose As imperfect as they were, if these folks were addressed from God like that, that should speak to us. That should speak to us. I mean, let me be real with y'all this captain crunch thing going on You're probably thinking captain crunch thing What am I saying to y'all here's what I'm exactly saying to y 'all if we think we're all that with god and we're just that better check yourself because they David and Moses both were a whole lot closer to God than any of us. And if we think where it is all that and this, that, and the other, and he was…

about to take both of them out and I understand there's grace in Jesus and I understand that I understand that but I'm going to tell you this we can't ignore the Old Testament it's law we don't live under the law anymore But it shows the heart of God. I don't want to make God mad. I'm not perfect. I'm sure you're probably not perfect.

I'd like to read it. but where's our heart where's our heart with the lord and i'm again i'm talking to myself as well we have sometimes a millisecond make a decision what are we saying about ourselves are really taking a likeness neurosurgeon dr. Lee Warren I've pretty much lost all hope and And to be honest with you, I don't really get along with many doctors these days.

A lot of the old school doctors, you know, the whole thing. corrupt but there's some good people out there but dr lee warren he's a neurologist he loves the lord he knows the word he also went through the military and had ptsd from being a neurosurgeon in the world and he's being very transparent about his situations folks our brain He said God created our brain. He basically confirmed the renewing of our mind daily in the Word. We've got to renew our mind daily in the Word.

Amen? We've got to renew our mind. Why because he's proving he went to some MRI that shows activity in this and that and Scientifically it proved the Bible's basically what he said You know as you start renewing your mind and you're in your looking at the word and you're bringing truth in it starts to rewire the things the traumas that happened when you were younger or at different parts of your life it starts to rewire those things but you bring the truth into it you know if you're still telling yourself well i'll never get out of this i'm not good enough you know these kind of things check yourself Because all you're doing is self-sabotaging that's what he says basically God loves you God loved David God loved Moses but I can personally testify right now I have visited heaven i've been in the presence of god i could not look up and see him biblically that aligns correctly anybody tells you they've seen the god they lied i was in the presence i could not look up the authority was so massive. It's greater than any authority I've ever experienced on this earth.

But as I look back at Jesus, the peace of God flooded me. I can relate to how God wanted to deal with Moses, how God wanted to deal with David. But I'm going to tell you this. I can also relate to Jesus.

When I would look at him. him the peace of God flooded me let's not play games with God but get it into your mind baby yeah come on in here man like I don't know what we need to do to get you tuned in but we I need your focus we need to get your mind changed too amen we need mind changes going on folks and i'm not being mean to anybody i'm just i'm serious right now if we want true change and we want to stop these cycles we're going through we need to be a part of that Amen. We need to be a part of that. we can't keep playing the same game we've got to allow god created the mind the enemy will use those layers but god created the mind we need to take we need to take the Word See all the highlights in there buddy highlights mark your Bible up folks time in your word why because we need to change god has given us what we need to change but we've got to come out of agreement with the world we're living too much in the aspects of the world Do I like nice things I do But let me tell you something you have better like and love Jesus more than nice things hallelujah so god is calling us this is a critical time am i a sinner i am are you a sinner you are But were we like we were two months ago, five months ago, a year ago, two years ago, ten years ago, when you had your first salvation?

I hope not. We need to be showing fruit and growth. If the Lord spared King David because what? He had a shift in his heart.

The prophet Nathan was there, and King David did what? got humble real quick before the lord he realized man i've been a narcissistic lying deceiving adulterous fool if you want to label it and nathan man God sent Nathan to break it down David. I'm about to wipe you out. I'm about to destroy you But what happened?

David humbled himself Before God God then. It's written. God then made it very clear. You look back at second Samuel 12 In 7, Nathan said to David, you are the man.

He was so dang, David, before he knew it was him, he said, kill him. Take him out. And yet, Nathan, the prophet, tells him, David, this is you. This is you buddy.

This is what God is saying to you you self -righteous fool What really got me is that digging into this guys is god was so clear to him david i've loved you i've given you more than most first seven nathan said to david you are you are the man thus says the lord the god of israel I anointed you as king over Israel. What? I, God, did what? Anointed you, gave you authority and power.

Not some man, not some election, God, the God of all creation. guys are we tracking together is anybody getting this at all amen we really need to let we need to get this in our heart amen mom you getting this we only need this because the truth will set us free we all get fought every day i'm not sitting here trying to beat you over the head i'm saying listen we must go to the truth first we must come nigh to god But look at this. I anointed you as king over Israel. I spared you from the hand of Saul.

God's saying, I gave you the whole kingdom. I kept you, David. I kept you from Saul. guys this is deep this is God this is the same God that is protected and kept this camera is starting to irritate so when we look at this i spared you from From the hand of Saul, I also gave you your master's house and put your master's wives into your care and under your protection, and I gave you the house, the royal dynasty.

of Israel and of Judah and what he say if that wasn't enough he said if that had been too little I would have given you much more jumping real quick back to verse 11 then the Lord said behold I will stir up evil against you from your own household I will take your wives before you basically broke it out i'm gonna i'm gonna shake you down he made it clear i am not happy with you and i'm gonna shake you down david and he said in broad daylight what does that tell you it's It's not hidden. It's not in a bedroom at night. I'm gonna do this in front of everyone in the middle of the day Why verse 12 you did it secret Now, immediately, verse 13, and this is what counts for us, David said to Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. David realized, even if he hadn't before, I don't know.

You went into a covenant of mine, and you took my daughter. he went into a married woman then tried to cover it up killing everybody then tries to marry her and at the end when he had a repentant heart God said all right I'm gonna forgive you David Let this pass and I'm gonna let you live But you're not keeping the child God is not one that he can lie I'm not here to beat anyone over the head today. I'm saying this though. We need to come to a new level of seriousness We get ourself into trouble get ourself into things that we shouldn't be in Hello Amen, we get ourselves to things we shouldn't be in in here.

Why? Because we're not spending time with Lord as we should our mind is more in the things of the world now. I read my Bible out loud for at least an hour to two hours a day, and I allowed the washing of the water of the word to cleanse my mind.

With the Lord today Wow, bro Amen, that's powerful That's powerful guys did you hear what is interesting means the thing about it was I did I tried to do everything the Lord told me to do right when you tell me do it And I had people lay hands on me and pray for me. But God, who is merciful, saw what I was trying to do. I was doing the best I could. But I believe because he loved me, that's why he healed me. Amen.

And you know, I love your testimony of… Not being able to really comprehend or keep the word but as you spent that time with him He gave you that ability he opened that he took that enemy out from trying to keep you from it Thank you Lord You were persistent, Jerry. It was so bad, you know, you don't blow your nose. i finally after i cried and wept for probably about 20 minutes i just knew my heart said come on me just and now i know He's going to heal me of the schizo. Amen. Hallelujah, Lord.

God's good. And so basically what I sense that that's really going on is out of Colossians 2. verses 11 um colossians 2 verse 11 says in him you were also circumcised in him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands okay with a circumcision not performed by human hands your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by christ so uh you know and then um and then i think romans 2 29 and then uh you know uh you know and then uh then this verse talks about you know who is a jew you know okay so it says a person is not a jew who is one only outwardly nor is circumcised merely outward and physical verse 29 no a person is a jew who is one inwardly and a circumcision is a circumcision of the heart by the holy spirit of god not by the written code such a person's praise is not from other people but from god so it's like every time we spend time you know Every time we spend time with the Lord.

You what's going on is romans 12 2. romans 12 2 says do not be conformed you know do not be conformed you know to this world but be transformed and how transformed by the renewing of our mind every time we spend time with god just close your eyes and just picture just imagine the holy spirit of god just stripping off wow jesus wow the lord just gave me that image wow just just just imagine the lord stripping off the old man you know every time we spend time with lord he's just stripping off you know he's just stripping off lust he's stripping off he's uh he's a he's stripping off lust he's stripping off pride he's stripping off what you know he's tripping off every part of the old man but But, you know, Jerry, what you said was beautiful because you said that when you first started reading the Bible and stuff like that, you know, you couldn't remember what you read about five seconds ago. God's doing something amazing to you. amen so um yes sir so the scripture that's been sticking with me is uh proverbs chapter 3 verses 5 and 6 you know um so no an apostle and pastor uh well i don't i don't know pastor if you know but um i i i am going i am getting deployed you know um and this isn't something that is going to be easy on my my family on my on my wife or my sons you know so um it's not gonna be easy on me and you know i've been i've been battling you know kind of going back and forth lately or these past two or three days going back and forth as to why God would allow the deployment to be pushed through for me to go on to this.

been questioning it you know and you know the one thing that hasn't you know the one thing that hasn't left my mind is the fact that i need to trust the lord and trust that he knows what he's doing you know there's a reason you know there's a reason in that you know he's allowing this to be pushed through amen you know um even though it's going to be difficult you know it's not going to be easy even though it's going to be difficult i know that with the lord all things are possible amen philippians um 4 13 amen i can do all things through jesus christ who strengthens me you know so um you know bringing it back to proverbs five and six you know it says you know it says trust in and rely confidently on the lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding you know and that that verse right there you know for me it's It's almost like, you know, like you have to look at it from the outside, you know, or we're looking at it from the outside. You know, just like, you know, 1 Samuel 16, 7, you know, man looks at the outward appearance, God looks at the inward. heart you know this right here man or me i'm looking at it from the outside but i don't see the end goal i don't see the end result of it but god does amen god can see the inside of the plan that he's that he has for me i'm just looking at from the outside i'm looking at you know oh man i'm gonna be halfway across the world i won't see my family so on so forth you know in person but god is doing something mighty amen god is he has he has a mighty plan you know there's you know i'm i'm i'm trusting the lord that no matter what it's looking like i trust him amen you know the word of god says that he allows all things to work out for good for those that love him You know, so I'm trusting that, you know, there's going to be good that comes out of this, regardless of what it looks like right now.

You know, it says do not, you know, it says do not do not rely on your own insight or understanding. standing you know um and then uh in verse six you know it says in all in all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize him and he will make and he will make your paths straight and smooth removing obstacles that block your way way you know so you know this right here you know it's um it's it's pointing at you know through this through these difficult times I need to be acknowledging the Lord through it all, no matter what I do. Father God, before I get on this plane, Father God, I pray that you, you know, I pray that you've seen your angels before me.

Amen. But if I would have just, if I would have just sought out the Lord. Or, you know, yeah, if I would have just sought out the Lord, then that probably wouldn't have happened. So, again, August 306 has been the one thing that the Lord, he keeps reminding me on this, is, you know, trust him.

Don't rely on my own understanding. understanding trust the plan that he has for me you know um and just keep my eyes on the prize amen so our glory to god let go and let god amen amen together everybody open your bibles please second corinthians chapter 13 verse 1 david i'd like you to read that sir yes sir second corinthians chapter 13, verse 1. 2 Corinthians 13. Every fact shall be sustained and confirmed by the testimony of two or three witnesses. Okay. A repeating pattern I see in a lot of lives is a lot of people saying things are God, but where are the two or three witnesses confirming it? Pastor Brian, why don't you take Matthew chapter 6?

Um… verse 33 Matthew 6 verse 33 alright All right. Seek first the kingdom, but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Cool.

Would anybody like to discuss these two scriptures pertaining to their own lives, but also everything at hand? One thing I want to say, David, is repeatedly… We can sometimes try to go and do our own thing and then say it's God. And that's a dangerous place to be.

And I just brought you scripture on both of those. So, what I'm saying is, Proverbs 3, 5, and 6 is legit and it's real, but my question is, have you fasted on any of this? Has is you know, there's a constant place of not seeking Direction of those who are elders in life kind of just doing your thing and your free will amen but there's a track history record and while God's cleaning a lot of things up we shouldn't continue on that trajectory amen we need to yield now i'm not busting your chops know that right now i'm trying to give you something to help you and everybody else in here and everybody watching what what does the anxiety come from let's step back for a second where does anxiety come from control zero thank you both very good answers that's the main context of matthew uh six i don't remember at what point it starts back i think it's like 20. um in 25 but when i bring you down here to 33 but first and most importantly first and most most importantly seek aim at strive after his kingdom and his righteousness amen his way of doing and being right the attitude and the character of god and all these things will be to you also I'm not against we need to know that what we're getting us from God that's what I'm trying to get across second Corinthians 1311 you know that really speaks deeply 2nd Corinthians 13 right this chapter is about examining ourselves starts this is the third time that I am visiting you it's a repeated situation.

It's the third time I'm visiting. Every fact shall be sustained and confirmed by the testimony of two or three witnesses. sometimes our heart can drive us in places that God's not taking us. And I'm not saying this is or is not this situation.

I'm a bit perplexed how quickly and how it all came to be it doesn't Sit with peace in my heart. I'll just be honest with you and fasting is very important seeking eldership prayer on things is important these are things that kind of lack Now, I can tell you that in my own life, I've been there and done that. And I've suffered a lot of setback and situations. Weren't God You know marrying the wrong woman Trying to line it up in the name of Jesus.

Talking about my own testimony right now. When it was clear that it wasn't God. In my mind I was… I'm going to marry this woman.

This is going to advance the kingdom of God, etc. I had a word. If you marry that woman, I wouldn't even try to get married at that point. It could destroy your ministry.

Brother Jerry told me something the other day. My spiritual mother told him the first time I went over there. You need to pray for that man. prophet robin tom rogers when she saw i'd married that woman we get to see the life leave out of it we think we can go do what we want to do and god just going to come in and comfort us and fix it and while he'll come in and start working some stuff at what cost in our call in our life pastor Brian Trent Shepard You know, he was hell -bent on going in the army and across the freaking ocean when he knew it was not God.

He didn't seek out. He even had a… word somewhere along that path guys we've got to do what god has called us to do are we are we fasting are we praying are we seeking are we seeking our elders and this isn't just in one i'm talking across the board tonight I mean it could be go ahead mother I just wanted to say one thing sure about this because you you you not want to get married at all i really didn't you were i know you were very upset but You thought that that's what God wanted you to do. I was deceived.

Well, yes, you were. Because that's why you got married, because you thought God wanted you to get married. I was incredibly deceived. if i you know i've learned a lot of things along the way well how do we ever um kind of learn not not to be we know them well a couple things whether are you playing first prayer it's what it's what i do go ahead brother Now, I'm saying basically the thing is, marriage is something very important.

You should pray first and really seek the Lord. Because if you have someone say, oh, that woman's going to give you life, hold on. Come on, let me pray about this. Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses, let a thing be established.

So many times people do. things on their own because that's what they want in their heart and god's not in it we can be deceived we can have a desire in our own heart to do things and say god's going to be with it I mean, I've gotten myself into things before that, you know, it wasn't God. you can't change somebody's mind but I can tell you something when a prophet comes knocking on your door given you some direction and you refuse it you've put your hand in the face of god and you can do it in jesus name all you want but when a prophet comes to you and gives you direction you know there's nothing more that they can do for you i see and know things and i'll give somebody a phone call or direction listen you really need to do this tonight you know and there will be a place of our today or this morning or whatever you know i mean i've called judges i've literally i know judges i've called judges in the midst of them doing need to you need to leave that situation i how do i know that because they told me you always call it the wrong time I interrupt their pleasure pool. I interrupt what they want to do because God says to.

You can't make people do things, but I'm going to tell you. If a person is not willing to do something, you've got to let go. I can tell you right now, I can foresee certain things that I'm not allowed to discuss. All I can do is try to persuade somebody to pray fast.

and to seek God on truth because many times on the other side of it, I can already see the other side of the outcome. Proverbs, amen. And I'll leave it there, I mean You know recently best brown can I Can I expose your business? How dare you?

Absolutely. Recently, Pastor Brown was going to marry a chicken. I'm just joking. He had a situation with his job.

and i could see part of his heart wanted to kind of stay laid up part of his heart wanted to kind of get going i'm just going to be blunt about it as a prophet that was what i saw from the lord And I begin to warn him you need to bring this season to a close you in other words, you need to get back I'm gonna be honest if he wouldn't have he would no longer be in law enforcement pretty quickly. This is when a prophet comes knocking on your door, you need to… Stuff your pride somewhere else Now the fact is I didn't tell him this is what you better do that's not how it works. You have free will.

I can tell you this, that as he resolved to the Lord's plan on, you know, his own direction, and he took the word, but he followed it. things begin to pan as he surrendered to God and he got released and, you know, he's in a safer place in his job now, et cetera, and he still has a job. And he can tell you after these people start talking, talking to him, the top dogs of the top dogs, things probably were going to be coming to an end if he would not have come back into that place and got back in order there. those who don't play around no I mean the Lord you have free will everybody a guy oscar the very guy that led me to the lord at first who ended up in the mexican mafia in prison and all kinds of crazy stuff on the third offense of domestic abuse I remember sitting outside of Shanghai Reds restaurant in a parking lot about to go into a ministry thing and I remember the Holy Spirit telling me right then to intercede for him and I begin to pray for him what I didn't know what was happening was He was facing his third prison sentence for domestic abuse.

Strangely enough, I hear from him. few days later That they didn't put him back in prison folks when you have several felony offenses and you've been in prison multiple times They don't typically just drop that stuff Thank you. I've literally begged people some nights on the phone to do things that they would not do because Satan was operating in there. and I'm going to tell y'all something the devil wants in your mind he wants in your heart Put that pride away.

That's the problem. I know what's best or all that mess, man. When God sends you a prophet, yield. Take it.

Take it to the Lord. Don't just flush it away. Don't let fear get you. God will want to smash the enemy's plan.

Do you understand what I'm saying? God wants to smash the enemy's plan. Damn, like that. so don't let fear torment you that's that's what i'm trying to get to don't let fear control and torment you don't let your pride bury you pride cometh before the fall you know Let go control Seek ye first the kingdom of God.

Amen Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses let a thing be established If you don't do those things, you're operating out of your own control. You're operating out of your own pride. You can label Jesus Christ all you want, but that's in your own head. Is anybody in a residence?

with what i'm saying you you can do that all but you're only deceiving yourself you need a community you need that mouth of two or three witnesses amen people that are holy spirit filled that fruit you need those people speaking into your life on major things whether you're getting married whether you're moving to a new house changing major jobs do you see what i'm saying you know it's very important If you choose not to do that, that profit 99 % of the time is going to already know where you're headed. I can't tell you the tears I've cried for people. Knowing where they're going. Pastor Brian can tell you this.

I've told him many times. This person didn't heed what the Lord told him. Watch what's going to happen. And I would tell him, and sure enough, bam.

And that's all I can do. I've had to learn. Lay that before the Lord and say, Lord, I told them they chose to do their own thing. I've told relatives not to travel to see their grandchildren.

in different states and this and that because it wasn't God. And sure enough, it turned into a situation. You know, advise young people, the Lord doesn't want you to do this. And, I mean, several of them are dead now.

It's not a matter if God loves us or not. It's the matter that prophetic direction was given. God spoke. And you don't even have to have a prophet.

A prophet should be confirming the thing. get faster have you have you gotten quiet before the lord what i'm telling you though is if a prophet shows up give me the direction should seriously Heed that. Take it and heed it. Lord, is this for me?

And don't lie to yourself. You know what I mean? If you're not going to listen to the Holy Spirit, you can label it all you want. You can label anything you want to label it.

But regardless, just like with David, David finally got humbled after he went through all that mess. I'll do this. I'll do this. I'll do this.

I'll kill him. You know what I mean? These other people are dead. I'll marry her now.

fix it oh no you won't buddy god's ahead of you and god's gonna deal with you but when he repented he really truly repented before the lord what happened god forgave But he didn't keep the baby. Can't have your cake and eat it too, basically. Just do it right from the beginning. It's a lot easier a lot less hassle Second Corinthians 13 family Matthew 18 16 That's all I can do done the I've done all I can do to try to help what anybody does at this point with it is important pastor Brian go right ahead And it's not about being perfect.

She doesn't want you to be using your foot. it's infected right now well long story short she went anyway i don't think we heard anything about that lady again you know they're in in part of that there are things attached in a lot of the medical practices in a lot of places you know what i mean like i think mama was seeing a lot of different aspects to that whole situation amen seeing that that's the thing as a prophet you don't you don't have to go dig people's mess up when you start praying for them god begins to show you this is my will this is what they need to doing. If they don't, this is what's going to happen.
